Craps Come Bet

A craps wager identical in logic to the Pass Line but placed after a point is already set, effectively starting a fresh come-out sequence for that individual bet.

Definition

A Come bet can be made on any roll once the main point is established. It behaves exactly like a Pass Line bet: the next roll acts as its personal come-out, winning on 7 or 11, losing on 2, 3 or 12, and otherwise setting its own 'come point'. It then wins if that come point repeats before a 7. The Come bet carries the same 1.41% house edge as the Pass Line (the Don't Come mirrors Don't Pass at 1.36%), and it can also be backed with true-odds bets. Come bets let a player have multiple point numbers working at once rather than waiting for a single sequence to resolve.

Worked example

The main point is 5. You place $10 on Come. The next roll is 9, so 9 becomes your come point. Now both the shooter's 5 and your 9 are working: your Come bet wins if a 9 rolls before a 7, independently of the Pass Line outcome.

Why it matters

For learners, the Come bet shows how the same favourable math can be reused mid-round rather than being limited to one wager. For professionals, it is a common point of player confusion and a good test of whether someone truly understands craps sequencing.
