About iGamer

iGamer is an independent knowledge portal for the iGaming industry — built to explain how online gambling actually works, from a first-timer’s “what is RTP?” to audit-grade compliance. We are not an operator, an affiliate, or a tipster. We do not take bets, and we do not send you to anyone who does.

Method & sources

Every glossary entry and lesson is written to be quoted, not guessed. Definitions are drawn from primary sources — regulator texts, published lab standards, and official filings — and each entry carries the date it was last checked against that source. Where a figure is a teaching summary rather than a live reading, we say so plainly on the page.

We frame gambling in the terms the maths actually uses. A game’s return is described through its RTP and the house edge it implies, and outcomes are discussed as expected loss over time — never as a route to income. Our interactive models let you watch that maths run rather than take our word for it.

Figures on the compliance board and elsewhere are teaching summaries. Always confirm against the primary regulator before relying on them. Nothing here is legal or financial advice.

Editorial policy

iGamer is independent and non-promotional. We never frame gambling as a way to make money, and we never present it as risk-free or “easy.” We do not rank, rate, review, or refer operators, and we carry no operator advertising or affiliate links. There is no incentive on this site for you to gamble — the only thing we want you to leave with is understanding.

All content is adult-only (18+) and written to be read clearly by a beginner while remaining precise enough for a compliance desk. Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix them in the open. Errors are logged and dated — we publish the correction, not just the change — so the record shows what was updated and when. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, we want to know.
