Gaming Laboratories International
GLI is a private testing laboratory founded in 1989 that evaluates land-based gaming machines, lottery, and online (iGaming) systems for compliance with the technical requirements of gambling regulators. Regulators worldwide adopt GLI's published standards (the GLI series) and accept GLI test reports as the basis for approving equipment for market. It does not license operators or issue player-facing trust seals; it certifies that products and platforms meet the rules of a given jurisdiction.
A seal is evidence, not a guarantee. Certification means a game or platform passed a test against a standard — it does not change the house edge or promise a session outcome, and it is separate from the operator’s licence. Verify seals on GLI’s own site.
