ISO/IEC 17065
ISO/IEC 17065 sets out the requirements for the competence, consistent operation and impartiality of bodies that certify products, processes and services. Product certification is a third-party conformity-assessment activity, and this standard governs how those certifiers must operate. In iGaming it applies to the bodies that certify games and gaming equipment against jurisdictional technical standards, complementing the lab-competence standard (ISO/IEC 17025) that governs the testing itself.

A standard is a ruleset, not a promise. A certificate against ISO/IEC 17065 attests that a game or system met it at test time — it does not change the house edge or guarantee a session outcome. This is a teaching summary; confirm against the issuer (ISO/IEC).
