GLI-33
GLI-33 is the Gaming Laboratories International standard for event (sports) wagering systems, created in response to demand from US state regulators, tribal nations and operators for a cohesive technical rulebook after the expansion of legal sports betting. It covers the wagering platform end-to-end: bet acceptance and settlement, account management, geolocation, responsible gaming, and system security. The standard is designed to work alongside GLI-19 (online casino systems) rather than duplicate it.
Gaming technical standard
v1.1
A standard is a ruleset, not a promise. A certificate against GLI-33 attests that a game or system met it at test time — it does not change the house edge or guarantee a session outcome. This is a teaching summary; confirm against the issuer (Gaming Laboratories International (GLI)).
